The site, including two railway tracks and a unique electric tramway, two model railways, and extensive refreshment facilities, has been developed by the members for the benefit of our visitors.

Llanelli and District Model Engineers are based in Pembrey Country Park, Llanelli. 5″ and 3 1/2″ Raised Track with a 7 1/4″ and 5″ ground level track under construction.

The Bridgend Miniature Railway is operated by members of the Bridgend and District Model Engineering Society, it is located within the picturesque surroundings of the Parc Slip Nature Reserve, just 10 minutes from Bridgend town centre.

The Society was formed over 50 years ago as a result of 3 people meeting in a cafe in Llandudno. It grew slowly to its present size and facilities as a result of hard work by the members over the years.  We have our facilities in the grounds of Ysgol Gogarth which is on Nant-y-Gamar Road in Craig-y-Don at the east end of Llandudno. We are indebted for these facilities to Conwy Borough Council, the Local Education Authority, and to the Headmaster and Governors of the school, with whom we have an excellent relationship.
